Ashley Seal Named PBC Volleyball Specialist of the Week

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong Atlantic State University junior setter Ashley Seal has been named the Peach Belt Conference's Volleyball Specialist of the Week, released on Monday by league officials.
Seal earns the honor for leading the Pirates to three wins during a record-breaking week for No. 16-ranked Armstrong. She directed a comeback from two sets down on Tuesday with 48 assists, five digs and five blocks in a 3-2 win over Valdosta State, then notched 34 assists, seven digs and four blocks in Armstrong's record-breaking 3-0 win over Montevallo as the Pirates broke the school and Peach Belt record for best start to a season and most consecutive wins.
The Orlando, Fla., native then capped the week by serving the first seven points of Armstrong's 3-0 win over Augusta State on Saturday, notching 34 assists with a season-high six service aces and stretching the Pirates' record to 31-0. Seal now leads the Peach Belt in service aces with 53 while ranking third in assists per set at 10.77.
This is the second weekly honor for Seal as she was the league's first specialist of the week back on September 6.
Seal and the Pirates are next in action on Wednesday, November 2, visiting Flagler for a 7:00 p.m. Peach Belt Conference matchup with the Saints.
