Women's Tennis Notches Four Singles Brackets At Clemson Sunday

CLEMSON, S.C. - Four Armstrong Atlantic State University women's tennis players wrapped up action at the Clemson Duckworth Family Fall Classic on Sunday by capturing singles bracket titles on the final day of play in Clemson, S.C.

In the singles #4 bracket, freshman Carolina Prats-Millan notched the title in her first tournament as a Pirate with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Jacqui Katz of Tulane. Meanwhile, in the singles #5 bracket, senior Marlen Hacke notched a 6-1, 6-2 win over Meredith Maltby of Tulane for the bracket title.

Senior Olga Kalodzitsa picked up a win in the singles #6 bracket with a 6-3, 7-6 (0) win over Margot De Haan of Troy, while freshman Dora Andrejzski collected a 6-1, 6-1 win over Anna Zoske of USC Upstate for the singles bracket #8 title.

In other action on Sunday, senior Aleksandra Filipovski claimed third place in the singles #1 bracket with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Andressa Garcia of Winthrop. Junior Clara Perez also claimed third place in the singles #2 bracket with a 6-1, 6-7, (11-9) win over Linda Fritschken of Barry. Senior Barbora Krtickova dropped her third-place match in the singles #3 bracket against Tijana Uzelac of Winthrop, 6-4, 2-6, (10-6).

Armstrong returns to action on Nov. 2-4 at the North Florida Fall Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
