Pirates Pick Up Pair Of Bracket Championships At CofC Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Armstrong Atlantic State University freshman Dora Andrejszki captured the A2 singles flight, then paired with senior Marlen Hacke to win the A1 doubles flight on the final day of the College of Charleston Fall Invitational on Sunday in Charleston, S.C.

After morning rains pushed the scheduled action into the afternoon, Andrejszki and Hacke began the day by picking up a 9-8 (1) win over Yasmeen Ebada and Stpehanie N'tcha of Samford to capture the A1 doubles bracket. 

Andrejszki then won the A2 singles bracket with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Jessica Northcutt of Samford.

Hacke fell in her A1 bracket final match, losing a tough third-set tiebreaker to UNC Wilmington's Alyssa Ritchie 4-6, 6-2, (10-7).

Armstrong returns to action on Friday, September 27th, traveling to Berkeley, Calif., for the Cal Nike Invitational, hosted by California.
