CHARLESTON, S.C. - Armstrong Atlantic State University women's tennis players Marlen Hacke and Dora Andrejszki each advanced to their respective singles bracket finals after the second day of the College of Charleston Invitational on Saturday in Charleston, S.C.
Hacke defeated Laina Cummer of Davidson, 6-0, 6-1, in the A1 singles bracket semifinal to advance to Sunday's final, where she will meet Alyssa Ritchie of UNC Wilmington.
Andrejski, meanwhile, is into the A2 singles bracket final because her opponent, Samantha Maddox, of host College of Charleston had to withdraw with an injury. In an extra match not on the bracket, she defeated Hamilton Lovett of UNC Wilmington, 6-2, 6-3. She will take on Jessica Northcutt of Samford in the final on Sunday.
The duo paired up to compete in the A1 doubles bracket and won a pair of matches on Saturday to advance to the final. The pair defeated Olga Blank and Christine Kharkevtich of UNC Wilmington, 8-5, and Libby Scott and Romane Delay of Coastal Carolina, 8-2. They will meet Yasmeen Ebada and Stpehanie N'tcha of Samford at 8:30 a.m. in the doubles final to begin the day's action.
Singles play on Sunday will follow after the doubles final at the College of Charleston Invitational.
