SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 11-ranked Armstrong Atlantic State University women's soccer squad checks in at No. 3 in the final regular season Southeast Region rankings released by the NCAA's regional advisory committee on Wednesday afternoon. These rankings are used to determine selections into the 2013 NCAA Division II Soccer Championships.
Lenoir-Rhyne (13-3-1) tops the latest Southeast Region rankings, followed by Columbus State (13-5), Armstrong (11-3-3) and Wingate (12-2-3). Results used in the rankings are through matches completed Sunday. Belmont Abbey (13-3-1) checks in at fifth, followed by Clayton State (10-3-4), Queens (NC) (10-5-3), North Georgia (12-4-1), Lander (12-4) and Lees-McRae (10-6-1).
Three automatic bids will be awarded to the tournament champions from the Peach Belt, South Atlantic and Conference Carolinas with three more at-large bids to be awarded. The 2013 NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Championships field will be announced on Monday, November 11, at 7:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.

Armstrong was eliminated from the 2013 PBC Championships on Tuesday by Georgia College, 2-1, but the Pirates have played one of the strongest schedules in the region and the nation. The Pirates are 3-1-1 overall against other Southeast Region teams and overall are 3-2-3 against regionally-ranked teams from across the nation.
