Jenna Birch Moves Up To 18th At NCAA Women's Golf Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Armstrong Atlantic State University sophomore Jenna Birch shot a second-round 80 on Thursday to climb up six spots to 18th at the 2012 NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club in Louisville.
Birch's two-round 161 total leaves her tied with with four other golfers at +17 as conditions saw another day where nobody broke par on the par-72, 6,283-yard course.
Daniela Ortiz of Nova Southeastern (+1) leads by two strokes over teammate Abbey Gittings (+3), with Birch sitting 16 strokes off the individual lead in the 90-team field.
Two rounds remain in the Championships and Birch will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Friday in the third round of the 2012 NCAA DII Women's Golf Championships. Click here for live scoring of the tournament.
