GREENWOOD, S.C. - Armstrong State University junior Machala Raymonville has been named to the 2016-17 All-Peach Belt Conference Women's Basketball team, announced this evening at the league's annual awards banquet in Greenwood, S.C.
Raymonville averaged a career-best and team-leading 16.3 points per game and reached double digit scoring in 26 of 28 games this season, including eight games of 20+ points. The Rincon, Ga., native scored a season-high 33 points in an 86-72 win over Young Harris on Jan. 4 and hit the game-winning three-pointer with 2.4 seconds left in overtime to give the Pirates a 73-72 win over UNC Pembroke on Feb. 15.
She ranked ninth in the league in scoring this season, ninth in three-point baskets made (46) and seventh in free throw percentage (76.5). This is her first career All-Peach Belt Conference honor.
