SAVANNAH, Ga. - The 2017 NCAA Division II Southeast Softball Regional championship game has been postponed due to heavy rains Saturday at the Armstrong State Softball Field.
Third-seeded and host Armstrong State will meet seventh-seeded Pfeiffer on Sunday at Noon. Should Armstrong State win that matchup, the two teams will meet again at 2:30 p.m. to decide which team advances to the NCAA DII Southeast Super Regional on May 18-19.
Pfeiffer defeated Carson-Newman, 7-4, in nine innings on Thursday and Young Harris, 2-1, on Friday to advance to the final. Armstrong State rebounded from a 2-1 loss to Young Harris on Thursday to win a pair of elimination games on Friday, beating Carson-Newman by a 4-1 score and Young Harris, 7-0, behind senior Jane Trzaska's second career no-hitter.
