Armstrong Softball Moves To No. 10 In NFCA Top 25 Poll

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University softball team returned to the Top 10 with today's release of the NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, checking in at No. 10.

The Pirates (31-8) moved up six spots from No. 16 after picking up four wins in a pair of Peach Belt doubleheaders last week. Armstrong is one of three Peach Belt teams that appear in the rankings as North Georgia (31-7) is No. 8 and Augusta State (27-7) is No. 15.

Armstrong currently sits atop the Peach Belt Conference standings with a 7-1 record and this is the third week in this season in which the Pirates have been ranked among the Top 10 as Armstrong was No. 6 in the February 29th poll and No. 8 in the March 7th poll.

Armstrong returns to action on Friday, March 30th, hosting Columbus State in a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader at 2:00 p.m. at the the Armstrong Softball Field.
