SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong State University's season-opening cross country dual meet with Georgia College, scheduled for Friday afternoon, has been moved to Saturday morning due to the imminent approach of hurricane Hermine.
Armstrong State University's campus will be closed on Friday, September 2nd, so now the men's and women's cross country teams will face the Bobcats on Saturday, September 3rd. The men's 5k dual meet will run at 8:30 a.m., with the women's 5k dual meet running at 9:15 a.m.
This will be the first on-campus cross country event hosted by Armstrong State since 1992. The men's team finished seventh at last year's PBC Championships, while Georgia College finished fourth. The women's team, reinstated earlier this year, will be running in its first varsity meet since 2000 against the Bobcats, who finished eighth at the PBC Championships a year ago.
