SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong State University sophomore men's cross country runner Henning Schein was named to the 2015 Peach Belt Conference Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, released today by league officials.
Schein earns a spot on the team for carrying a 3.92 GPA in rehabilitation sciences. The Vellmar, Germany, native earns a spot on the team for the first time in his career.
The PBC's All-Academic teams are a part of a season-long program recognizing the outstanding accomplishments of PBC student-athletes in the classroom as well as on the field. To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams.

Schein and the Pirates will compete in the 2015 Peach Belt Conference Championships on Saturday morning, running at 9:45 a.m. in Gainesville, Ga. The Peach Belt will provide live video of the meet on UStream as well as Periscope.
