SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong State University men's golf team has been awarded the 2016-17 Peach Belt Conference Team Sportsmanship Award, announced this week by league officials.
The program presents an award following each championship season to the team in that sport that best exemplifies the spirit of sportsmanship and generally conducts themselves with a high degree of integrity, character and class. The award is voted on by each member school and is overseen by the Senior Woman Administrators.
The men's golf team captured the first team sportsmanship award for Armstrong State University since the program was initiated by the Peach Belt Conference in 2008-09.
