SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University baseball squad moved up to No. 5 in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Top 30 coaches' poll, released today.
The Pirates (31-9) stretched their current win streak to 10 with four wins on the week, knocking off Pfeiffer on Tuesday, 15-4, then sweeping three games from PBC foe Flagler over the weekend. Armstrong moved into first place in the PBC's East Division with the wins and as a result moves up two spots from No. 7 to No. 5 in the coaches' poll.
Tampa remains the top ranked team in the nation as of the latest release of the rankings, while Armstrong remains the top-ranked PBC school. Francis Marion leapt up to No. 8, while USC Aiken checks in at No. 14 and UNC Pembroke is at No. 25, giving the Peach Belt four teams from the East Division that appear in the rankings.

Meanwhile, the Pirates held firm at No. 7 in the College Baseball Lineup DII Top 30 Coaches' Poll.
Francis Marion is the top-ranked PBC team in the poll at No. 5, while Columbus State is ranked No. 26 and UNC Pembroke is ranked No. 30.

Armstrong returns to action on Tuesday, April 17th, hosting Augusta State in a non-conference contest at 3:30 p.m. at Pirate Field.
