SAVANNAH, Ga. - Fresh off of their series win over defending DII national champion and top-ranked Southern Indiana, the Armstrong Atlantic State University baseball team moved into the Collegiate Baseball DII Coaches' Top 30 poll today, entering at No. 22.
The Pirates (3-2) are tied with Cal State Chico for the 22nd spot in the national poll. Armstrong is one of five Peach Belt Conference schools that appear in this week's poll - Georgia College (No. 3), North Georgia (No. 8), UNC Pembroke (No. 18) and Columbus State (No. 27) also appear in this week's rankings.
UC San Diego is the new No. 1 team in the nation, with Florida Southern moving up to No. 2. Southern Indiana tumbled all the way down to No. 13 in the latest rankings.
