SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong Atlantic State University women's tennis junior Barbora Krtickova and men's tennis sophomore Sven Lalic have each been named to the Capital One/CoSIDA DII Academic All-America At-Large Third Team, announced today by the organization.
Krtickova becomes only the second women's tennis player in Armstrong history to earn Academic All-America honors from Capital One and CoSIDA. The singles and doubles standout for the back-to-back NCAA DII National Champion women's tennis team earns her third team honor for carrying a 3.59 GPA in health science. A native of Nove Mesto Nad Metuji, Czech Republic, Krtickova follows in the footsteps of current Armstrong assistant coach Iuliia Sherrod, who was a first team honoree in 2008.
Lalic, meanwhile, is the first Armstrong men's tennis player to be honored as an Academic All-American by Capital One and CoSIDA. The native of Banja Luka, Bosnia, carries a 3.86 GPA in economics to earn third team honors this season and Lalic was one of only five sophomores to earn a spot on the All-America teams in his first year to be eligible for the honor.

The two honorees brings the total number of Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-Americans this season for Armstrong to seven, surpassing the previous high of four set during the 2011-12 season. Overall, Armstrong has had 23 Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-Americans since its first honoree in 1993.
