Jennifer Rushton Named Associate AD For Compliance & Student Services

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Armstrong Atlantic State University athletic director Lisa Sweany has announced Jennifer Rushton as the new Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services. She will also serve as the Senior Woman Administrator for the Pirates.
Rushton, who joins the Pirates from Saginaw Valley State, will begin her position at Armstrong on November 28. She has served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Services since July, 2008.
Prior to joining Saginaw Valley State, Rushton served in several capacities at her Alma Mater, Tri-State University, most recently as the Associate Athletic Director from 2006-08. She was also the institution's Sports Information Director from 2000-03 and the head women's basketball coach from 2002-08.
A member of not only the Tri-State Athletics Hall of Fame (1998) and Montrose Sports Hall of Fame (2004), Rushton was a four-year starter at TSU, earning All-Conference honors three times and NAIA All-American honors once. She graduated from Tri-State University with her bachelor's of science degree in biology in 1997.
