Armstrong Basketball Featured At Media Luncheon And Meet The Pirates

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Armstrong Atlantic State University men's and women's basketball teams met the Savannah media on Wednesday as the Pirates hosted their annual Media Luncheon at Carrabba's on Abercorn Street.

Later on Wednesday, the teams were featured at Armstrong's annual "Meet The Pirates" night, which featured free food and contests for Armstrong students. Each student received a free t-shirt for completing four activities, including making a putt, scoring a soccer goal, making a free throw and navigating a basketball dribbling contest.

Each Armstrong varsity squad was introduced to the crowd and the Armstrong cheerleaders performed. Finally, students competed in shooting contests for prizes, including a halfcourt shot for a $300 gift certificate to the Armstrong bookstore.
